Shekinah Glory

Tuesday Prayer

Holy one,
Our feasts have turned
into shorter dinners,
until we only glimpse
each other sparingly.
I have hurried past you
too many times,
without slackening my pace
to see you clearly.
I grab my work,
thinking it contains you.
Yet, you stare lovingly
as I walk away,
hoping I will stop
for at least one
fleeting minute.

Amen
