Not understanding protection
your pinions seem too ticklish
and your embrace too smothering.
Our hardened hearts mistake
the rumbling mountains with thunder,
never recognizing your footsteps
and the heaven’s opening
for a descent to our encampment
at the foot of Mt. Horeb.

Bro, I love the Frisbee disk! I am not sure if I told you that I got “saved” via a Vineyard Church. I still love the idea of the moving of the Spirit. Why can’t presbys move like fire in the spirit?
Comment by Ryan Pappan April 23, 2008 @ 4:35 amThat is what I want in the church!
I was “saved” in the Christian and Missionary Alliance. A sort of mix between the Assembly of God Church and the Baptist church. Carol was a Southern Baptist and she went to a Cornerstone church.
Comment by pastorofdisaster April 23, 2008 @ 11:32 amBrian, I wish there was an open air place to discuss the Spirit in the PCUSA.
Comment by ryan April 23, 2008 @ 8:54 pmI always ask my friend Rev. Jackie Saxon to be my interpreter when I break into tongues. I wish that I could say that I gave away all of my holiness beliefs in the Spirit, but as the name of this blog suggests I am into the Spirit. There are two times when I feel the Spirit clearly, when I preach and when we have a healing service at the church.
Peace
Comment by pastorofdisaster April 23, 2008 @ 9:26 pmi so do rely on your prayers, pastah; and you so well do them. thank you. and please, never stop.
Comment by dame April 25, 2008 @ 11:34 pmThanks dame. I am coming out of some really nasty writers block. So, that is really encouraging. I will be hurling up some thoughts of you toward the ceiling today. Where the prayer goes after that God only knows.
