I like the images though I’d try to photoshop the B&W to make it a little more saturated so it looks more like an obsolete ad, and not so much like a cheap copy of an obsolete ad.

I’d personally like to see the text for the title in a different (larger? bold? other?) font than the introductory text — each time, I initially thought I was continuing to read the text, rather than encountering the title of the book. Also, whatever font you use, I would make the font for “Reframing Hope” noticeably larger than the rest of the title. Those two words are much more powerful and memorable than the description, and that’s what you want people to remember when they wander into Barnes and Noble or go to amazon. Same for Carol’s name — don’t let it be mistaken for part of the title. Set it off some distance, even if you still make it prominent.

The font you use in the color photograph is a bit difficult to read when superimposed on the plaid background.

I would make the font larger in the B&W photo – it seems a bit subordinate to the image here, and is not as attention-grabbing as I would like.

All that said, I really like the direction you’ve taken!
