May~

I think about that reverting to childhood quite often. Sometimes I think that I have already started. There is something quite beautiful about that cycle.

Yeah I guess I'm not really hiding my xian anarchist leanings.

"It is a grace that is total anarchy in its implications toward our own human freedom."

that's a brilliant line.

p.s. In our life cycle, at some stage we revert to childhood. When that time comes, we are sure to be innocent again. Since we would be unaware of the transition, I hope we will be excused fo thinking we are perfect again.

You were a precocious 10-year old. In my innocense I thought I was good (or perfect as I knew at the time). As I grew older I knew I was far from perfect but stopped struggling when I realized that no one is perfect. It is good to know God's grace is sufficient for all our needs. Thank you.

Thank you may. I think that this has been a particularly challenging and sad time for our congregation. I know that it has been for me.

I say amen and thank you for your prayer. As my pastor I look to you for comfort at this time. This must be a time of challenge for you with so many elderly members. May God be with you.

It seems every where I turn these last several years I am confronted with the the topic of "peace". Peace from false strivings, peace from self imposed encumbrances, peace from the mad chatter competing for all the interior space I have, peace from my small self. Then there are the conversations with my 6 y.o. son about peace-peace from war, peace on the playground, peace between him and his siblings, and at times his parents. This is, in part what you mention as, "God desires paradise restored and for all of humanity to return to harmony which they were originally created."
After your sermon today my son asked me what you talked about in church while they were in Sunday School. I said, "Brian talked about Peace." Oh, he said. " That's what WALLE (the Disney movie we saw yesterday) was all about." WALLE was just trying to get those people and space creatures to understand, so we don't have to leave the earth in such a big mess!" I said, "Emmett, you just might be a prophet of peace yourself." " No Mama, really, I'm just Emmett."

Thank you for the blessings-
Jill
