Light purple bursts cluster,
trumpeting a loveliness
that wails no less
than Miles’ cool birth.
In note after elegant note
constructing dotted form
around sinewy evergreens
they float a crisp voice
across morning’s chill.

Thanks Ryan. Carol is making me post my poetry. It has been interesting going through the stuff I wrote over the last few years.
