In the course of beginnings and ends
you are an end,
your shoreline feels different
than any in the East.
Maybe it is because there
we great the sun
while here we stand
with sand to our ankles
watching the day complete its turn.

I really like this one Brian as seeing the sun go down/up on both coasts has been part of my experiance.

On Ocracoke island on the outerbanks of NC you can see the sun set over the ocean in the west.

Thanks Jesse. After taking two trips to California this summer I realized that looking out at the ocean felt different there.
