Shekinah Glory

A Prayer I found in an Old Notebook

Come eternal

Basking in your own glory

orchestrating pregnant clouds,

vanquishing vanishing drought

like the arrows of Babylon.

Shall we tip a Stetson,

let the fiddle whine

and the slide of steel

over guitar strings?

Move us in the turn

from dusty shuffles

to boot stomping

in mud filled burrows.

I enjoy your prayers and dream of finding my voice again in that aesthetically pleasing dance.
